Mounting and cables

Brackets, housings, hybrid cabling and securing hardware for offshore camera installations — supplied with a system, or on their own.

Not every enquiry is for a complete system. A bracket fails, a cable run has to be extended, a camera has to move to a position it was never mounted for. WISE Group supplies the mounting and cabling on their own — including for Scout systems already in service worldwide.

What the mount has to do

A camera is only as steady as what holds it. Offshore the mount has to keep alignment through vibration and wind loading, survive salt and temperature, suit the zone it sits in, and stay reachable for service. It also has to go on in places where drilling is not permitted, which is why a large part of the range is magnetic.

What matters offshore

  • Holding alignment — a bracket that shifts under vibration puts the field of view somewhere other than where it was commissioned.
  • How it attaches — bolted, welded or magnetic changes what is possible on a given structure, and magnetic mounts exist because the first two are often ruled out.
  • The zone it sits in — a classified area sets the housing, the hardware and the certification before anything else is decided.
  • Secondary retention — anything working at height or over the side needs a certified safety wire behind it.
  • Adjustment after installation — a swivel head means the view can be corrected without a second trip and a different bracket.
  • Cable performance — video, data and power share the route, and the cable's own fire and oil resistance is part of what gets approved.

Flexible positioning where the field of view has to be adjusted after installation, rather than fixed at the point the bracket goes on.

Magnetic pendulum and suspension brackets

A family of magnetic mounts for positions where nothing can be drilled: pendulum, side-mount, twin-magnet and suspension variants, including one that pairs an N52 magnetic pendulum with a Zone 1 floodlight so camera and illumination share a single certified mount.

Cabling

A camera run offshore carries video, data and power down the same route, through positions where the cable's own fire performance is part of what has to be approved. Both hybrid cables below are supplied by the metre or cut to a run, and both are used on Scout installations already in service.

Safety wires, housings and project supply

Safety wires and securing

Certified safety wires and securing hardware for equipment working at height or over the side, giving cameras and brackets a secondary retention in line with the safety standards that apply to the position.

Explosion-proof housings and stainless hardware

Explosion-proof housings and stainless mounting hardware are specified for the zone the camera works in, alongside the camera itself rather than separately from it.

Specified for the project

Where a project needs a bracket, a cable specification or a mounting arrangement the standard range does not cover, we work to the requirement rather than force a fit. Tell us the constraint and we will specify against it.
