Monitoring systems
Monitoring systems built around the decision you have to make
Meteorological, oceanographic, aviation, positional, structural, environmental and visual monitoring — engineered as one system, documented for your build, and supported for the life of the asset.
WISE Group designs, builds and supports monitoring systems for offshore and marine assets. Every system starts from what has to be measured and which standard applies, not from a catalogue of equipment. Choose the area that matches your requirement below — or tell us what you need to measure and we will help you scope it.
What do you need to monitor?
Each area is named after the decision it supports. Most projects need more than one, and where they do, they are delivered and documented as a single system.
What we bring to all six
These are true in every area, so they are not alternatives to each other. Which one matters most depends on what you are responsible for.
Understand
We know what is being measured, so we can give real insight into the system rather than only supplying it.
Execute
A project team that runs the project, produces the required documentation and follows the processes — so our scope survives being one package inside an FPSO or wind farm build.
Integrate
One system, with the dashboards and third-party integrations you ask for, rather than sensors bundled with each vendor’s own software.
Sustain
A services team for the life of the asset — spares, calibration management, upgrades and surveys — on all makes and models, whoever built the system.
Five sensors, each arriving with its own software, is not a monitoring system. It is five software packages.
Behind the systems
- Delivering since 1974 and 1991. Muir Matheson in Aberdeen from 1974, Automasjon og Data in Stavanger from 1991, with MetOcean roots in the North Sea from 1980.
- ISO 9001:2015, certified by DNV. A quality system audited and approved by third parties including Achilles, Magnet JQS and the UK Civil Aviation Authority.
- Software developed in-house. DADAS, Orbalux, RUPDB and AIM embedded software are ours — used where the application calls for them, alongside the specialist technology it needs.
- A project team, not just a supplier. Engineering, documentation and testing run to the processes a yard or integrator has to work to.
- A services team on all makes and models. Spares, verification, upgrades and surveys, including on systems we did not build.
- A reference list behind the claims. Named projects and asset types available on request as part of a scoped enquiry.
Tell us what you need to measure
Send us the requirement, the asset and the standard it has to meet, and we will come back with what a system would contain and where the scope boundary sits. If a specification has already been written, send that instead.
Already have a system running? The services team covers spares, verification, upgrades and surveys on all makes and models — see what service covers — and if something needs attention now, the support route reaches the team directly.
