Sale of MIROS SCOTLAND service business to WISE Group

Automasjon og Data AS of Sandnes, Norway is buying the UK business of engineering and support services related to MetOcean and Helideck Monitoring Systems from Miros Scotland and is reorganizing this to become WISE Group – Muir Matheson Ltd. as of today, June 4th, 2021.

All deliveries, employees, know-how, and IPR related to the service business of Miros Scotland Ltd and legacy Muir Matheson Metocean and HMS products will continue as normal under the WISE Group – Muir Matheson name. WISE Group – Muir Matheson will operate in close partnership with its owners WISE Group – Automasjon & Data from Norway.

Says, Roger Lillestøl, MD of WISE Group: "The WISE Group companies will undoubtedly be one of the strongest teams within MetOcean Systems worldwide. The new WISE branding is also strengthened at the same time as: WISE – Weather Information Systems for the future."

We are confident that WISE Group – Muir Matheson will continue to service this market and the customers is an excellent way.

The WISE Group companies has a significant market share worldwide for MetOcean systems, i.e. systems such as Weather Stations, Environmental Monitoring Systems, Helideck Monitoring Systems, etc. with a large number of systems installed on offshore installations in the Far East, Brazil, Africa and of course in the North Sea. Over the last years we have worked hard to be more involved in the renewable market, in particular for Offshore Wind.

This move is therefore also a big and significant step in this direction since the UK market is currently the biggest Offshore Wind market in the world. We have already delivered systems to wind farms such as Sheringham Shoal, Greater Gabbard and East Anglia One in the UK and we hope there will be many more in the future especially when entering deeper waters with floating installations and wind farms.
